There’s a secret to life

When you don’t want a wife

You’ll see there’s a mission

When all is forgiven

It may take some time

But a song can remind

Someone in time

To free their mind

The noises sound like banging

Yet on the seat I’m hanging

Something that fuels my addiction

Of a love that was once prescription

Goosebumps comfort me

They make me less lonely

And when my heart races

It heats the cold spaces

Can we be saved by metal?

There’s a secret to life

When you don’t want a wife

You’ll see there’s a mission

When all is forgiven

It may take some time

But a song can remind

Someone in time

To free their mind

I’ll never sink

If I keep everyone afloat

It’s a lot you might think

But I’ll win your vote

No matter the muscle

No muscle is mass

Maybe if I hustle

We can go to class

Romance isn’t dead

It’s not all in my head

I said I’d write a letter

But inspiration is better

There’s a secret to life

When you don’t want a wife

You’ll see there’s a mission

When all is forgiven

It may take some time

But a song can remind

Someone in time

To free their mind

Your songs you sang

In my heart they rang

I’m treated like a Marian

But with you I am a Spartan
