The Toronto Maple Leafs got some bad news before last night's game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
Their Captain, John Tavares, was on the sidelines with a lower-body injury.
As for the game, Leaf's gaoalie, Jack Campbell recorded his second shut out this season last night and sixth of his career in a 3-0 win over the Flyers.
Jack Campbell has six career shut outs.
"I just liked the intensity our team played defensively." said Leaf's head coach, Sheldon Keefe at the postgame press conference. "The penalty killing was outstanding."
The Flyers were 0-4 on the man advantage last night.
The first period was sloppy for both teams and scorless.
Shots on goal in the first favoured Toronto 12-11.
William Nylander scored two goals for Toronto.
Nylander scores two.
Ondrej Kasa scored Toronto's third goal at 13:33 of the final period, recording his 100th career point.
Toronto's Auston Matthews had two assists.
Campbell stopped 36 shots.
Philadelphia's goalie, Carter Hart stopped 30 shots last night.
Toronto hosts Calgary tomorrow night.
