Just trying to get a handle on my situation

Man Diapers

The doctor

Under whose care

I found myself

Could not advise if I would live or die

Hormone Therapy wreaking havoc

With emotional output

Causing uncalled sentiment

To become lodged in a tearful eye

The man diapers

Took some getting used to

It was more of a mental block

Than any logistical thing

To admit to myself

That I was once more an infant

Led me to dislike the trend

Which for me was occurring

Personal care

Grooming and hygiene

Require concentrated effort

Habits I once took for granted

Are no longer a given

Meaningless oaths being recanted

Promises made

Belong to the living

So without toil

I sweat and I stink

Mumbling my protest

From darkened hallways

A phantom of my former fitness

A cartoonish caricature

Symptomatic of my own

Overall malaise
