A TRIPPoetry poem about love.

I was coming back from an artistic gallery. when I encountered the most seductive energy —
her name was "Kabelo".
a mesmerising sight, when her melanin got in tune with solar light.
constellations couldn't measure to her soul shining bright. for a moment –
I stood in fright, am I all alright?
why am I thinking about making her my wife? love is suicidal, why can't I find my knife? the human heART is ultimately a sacrifice, chopped & diced into little pieces of rice.
what's the price of a black man's life?
or will that only be answered when I'm in prison serving life? I used to say:
"what a time to be alive", now I realise I gotta do what it takes to survive.
