Too much time at home

Home Bound

Subject to my

Two bottles of oxies

Home bound never

Had it so good

Cannibalizing the content

Of Netflix

Conveying greater confidence

And comfort than

Perhaps I should

Bedecked in my bathrobe

And man diapers

Uncertain how this pageant

Might end

Calculating the cost

Of the lifetime lost

Was it all worth it

Well now

That depends

Netflix is the new opium?

OP - it’s never too late to be the person you want to be. My mum is 52 and just started studying nursing. She’s going to be a fantastic nurse.

PS. You should cannabise your oxys. Great combo. Less nausea. More appetite. Still get the constipation tho hehe. All the best my friend. I know the feeling, exactly, of being home-bound - as I am right now.

@ Adam- It’s still religion. We’ve just gone the David foster Wallace/ Aldous Huxley way and begun indulging in all kinds of unnecessary consumptives, digital media, fast food, constant distractions, rampart misinformation… so nobody knows what the hell to think anymore. The opium of the people always was religion. Nowadays, it’s much more.

By no means am I a Marx fan but to understand that quote, from Wikipedia: “ In context, the statement is part of Marx's structural-functionalist argument that religion was constructed by people to calm uncertainty over their role in the universe and in society.”
