Sadly, our times

In the age of greed, giving has gone

Me-first, me-only has swept the land

What changed, or has it always been there?

Hollow now is the rule, not the exception

Unhappy, miserable people drag the rest down

Search in vain for something we used to have inside

Turn to the picture of empty, his soul black

Children wandering, so lost and alone

The more we give into fear, the more we attack

Afraid comes with the lashing out; "what about me?"

I got it from the movie Tumbbad, which I think Dewey Green told me to watch. Highly recommend!
