Worries

Writing is hard with dread on your mind

lighthearted turns to heavy I find

ideas stop flowing with your mind in overdrive

creative is lost and your muse takes a dive

Your mind runs like it's a frozen machine

Maybe you're telling yourself "what does he mean?"

Never get to the core of the problem, no sir

And time jumbles and goes in a ‘whir’

The ‘what if’ worry take on a life of its own

Your Goddamn worries won't leave you alone

The worry tower leans and threatens to fall

Over your world drapes a self-made pall

and it feels like said-pall will never, ever end

The relief when it does is nice, til it happens again

Perfectly sums life up. And great rhyming too, Mike.
