Pleasant, summer evoking scents and cold behaviour to which hope is the answer...

A peculiar odour weighed on the world today. The kind of thick, heavy, yet emotive perfume that one can smell on sultry, love-filled summer nights in the city. When almost everything has quieted down and the deserted streets are bathed in this scent. Even the dispirited black asphalt exhale it as it is drenching in the orange glow of the street lamps.

It is a balm for the tired body and soul alike. A balm that is massaged into our muscles and emotions with the gentle care of Nature’s loving, soft hands. We roll about in it with pleasure, just like you did on the ruins of the Amphitheatre after my massage.

It feels good, its light dispels our dark doubts. We can descend to depths we have been afraid to even look at, lest the darkness look back at us. It brings us closer to ourselves. After a rest, it fills us with energy, so that we almost radiate like the statues on the bank of the Danube.

But this balm doesn’t help with things outside ourselves. Unfortunately, it isn’t an Arcanum that can cure everything.

You turned a bit cold yesterday, as unexpected as the weather at the beginning of the month. For some time now, your words haven’t been as fiery red as the dress you were dancing in. Perhaps I did or did not say something that caused this change. Or maybe, since you were born in autumn, your nature is like that.

I don’t know. I only hope. I hope that the said colour will return to the shade of your words with the feelings that belong to it. Because it’s good to speak with you, it’s good to listen to you and it’s good to pay attention to you…
