Borrowed Time
Once we are born, we are on borrowed time,
Many of us are afraid of that green slime,
Some go early, others go late,
nobody actually knows their fate.
Accidents, car wrecks and bad luck,
Diseases and mysteries, it all sucks,
Mass shootings and assaults, it's all the same,
We got to be lucky to stay in this game.
I am saddened of greed and private gain,
While the rest of us feel the pain,
Take care of those near and dear,
Feel content protecting them from their fears.
Live each day like it's your last,
Be in the moment, not the past,
The past was there for us to know,
Now it's time to enjoy the show.
