I’d let my concentration slip

and you were poised there,

ready and able

to take advantage of

that momentary blip.

and building back those barricades

is futile

and for nought.

I’ve fumigated,

I’ve begged you to simply leave;

for my own self

has been forfeited,

Gasp and grasp for another day!

Nicely done! Gosh, its coming on to an unbarable 2 years now, since knowing bits of you. Can't believe it my self. Like the Windchester house, in California. Actually lived around that area, and passed by it often. Keep on building, with your written thoughts, to get through another day. In a way, all you have written, reminds me of the quirkyness of that mansion. Beautiful, dark and complex, while leaving most unaware until they have made an exploration.

You write poetry so beautifully, your words so intimately personal, expressive of your deepest thoughts, your life challenges. You're a blessing to us here, Hully - we're lucky to have you. Best Wishes, HJ.

The last line is perfect. Just brings a little sardonic distance at the end.
