There is peace within us

When we seek forgiveness

It’s partially ingrained

And partially trained

For some of us

We seek change

To find a plus

In the strange

Old traditions

Never can die

If you know

The reason why

It’s all about themes

Whatever that means

We retell stories

Of those before me

To feel connected to the past

To prove love can last

No matter who dies

Someone will cry

We can keep their spirit alive

By learning the why

Old traditions

Never can die

If you know

The reason why

It’s all about themes

Whatever that means

We should reminisce

About more than

The kiss of death

Since we were given breath

If it’s easy to be ungrateful

Then you’re not thankful

That’s why we have tradition

To put our ego in remission

So it’s time to rewrite tradition

To reflect our true intention

Old traditions

Never can die

If you know

The reason why

It’s all about themes

Whatever that means

Rewrite tradition

You’re on a mission

To share the good word

To give voice to the unheard
