taken from my book, "beyond free"

This Is My Heart I'm Playing With

This is the pain of the free fall

Sailing away on a block of cheese

Nowhere to go but to the moon and back

While I pour this chocolate milk in my glass

I know I'm never landing

In a puddle of mud ever again

I just need what's this to be what's that

Slip on a banana peal and laugh

And hold on for my dear life

Because this is my heart I'm playing with

Setting it on fire

And standing back

To watch it burn

How the heart ache hurts

I wait around for the clock to tick faster

And faster and faster!

But the clock will not listen to my heart's demands

So I grab a pen and scribble what I can

It's not thee end of the world yet

But I stress "yet"

How I'll be left feeling teased

Oh, how I asked for this

Was I just blind tom this friend-zone?

The walls close in on me

And nothing matters but ink forming letters

Turning into words on every line

Yes, I know you're not mine

But does my heart know?
