A recap of last night's Toronto/Winnipeg game.

It wasn't a good night for the Toronto Maple Leafs as the team were defeated by the Winnipeg Jets 6-3.

Before last night's game, Winnipeg's Blake Wheeler was honoured for playing in his 1000th career game.

Wheeler didn't score, but he did have two assists.

Neal Pionk and Nate Schmidt also had two assists last night.

Pierre-Luc Dubois, Andrew Copp, Evgeny Svechnikov, Kyle Connor, Nikolaj Ehlers, and Mark Schiefele scored for Winnipeg.

Toronto's Auston Matthews stretched his scoring streak last night to six games.

Michael Bunting and Ondrej Kase also scored for Toronto.

Winnipeg's starting goalie, Connor Hellebuyck stopped 32 shots.

Toronto's goalie, Joseph Woll stopped 35 shots in his first NHL loss.

Toronto hosts the Columbus Blue Jackets tomorrow night.
