In the dead of the sinister night
Evil creatures come out to play,
Romping 'neath the blood moon
Leaving before the break of day.

In the dead of the sinister night
Evil creatures come out to play,
Romping 'neath the blood moon
Leaving before the break of day.

Creeping down the dark streets
Through the alleyways and malls,
Looking for late-night walkers
Innocents whom they can enthrall.

Lurking in the dark shadows
Malignant beings haunt the night,
Hoping soon to terrorise you
So that you might die of fright.

Macabre life forms slinking
Along the cursed darkened roads,
Prancing until the early dawn
Then sneaking back to foul abodes.

In the dead of the sinister night
Malevolent animals are crawling,
Around a terrified little town
As in the air comes dread calling.

Werewolfs baying at the moon
Or perhaps some sly egrigore?
Blue Men, Green Men, Postmen
Or some frightening Manticore?

Evil creatures come out to play
At the beginning of twilight,
Beings of warped appearance
Hunting the guileless in the night.

Nothing roams the horrid streets
At least not after night-time falls,
As through the doom-cursed night
Evil figures start to squall.
