Alone With You
There is nothing quite like being alone with you.
No layers left to uncover,
Your body smiling beside mine,
And your eyes,
Softened and intense.
*
I like pressing my lips against your body.
I like to whisper subtle things between kisses,
Like when you hush my name below,
As my tongue paints over,
Over and over.
*
I like to feel engulfed by your body,
In its tightened, flowing warmth.
The depth, the texture, the...
Feeling your tremors and pulses,
More and more and yes,
Fingers, bone and torso in tune.
*
And there is nothing quite like your head,
Resting against my chest.
You get dressed and tease me in the mirror and so,
I am sad because you have to go.
*
But when you come home,
We will be alone again,
With no layers left to uncover.
No, there is nothing quite like this,
You should know.
