Would You?
If I went out and bought myself
an ouija board
would you talk to me?
Letters picked out could replace
our phone conversations
and I would not feel
like you had really gone.
You told me not to -
a slippery slope
leading to an endless drop
for me to fall down.
That’s what you said then,
but how about now?
I’ll fashion my own, perhaps;
a simple version with
YES
or NO
and ask you once again -
if I bought an ouija board
will you talk to me
or have you gone and left me
for good?

As tempting as it is, remember that a Ouija board is not a direct call to a specific someone; it's an open call that anyone can answer, and not only spirits of those who have left our world but entities that have never lived in our world.
Not only that, but unlike with a phone, every time you reach out with a Ouija board, there's no guarantee anyone will answer, let alone the one you want - each experience will be different. And each experience opens you up to personal risk.
Tread carefully, Hully. The pain is at its strongest right now, but it will get easier to live with. Find comfort in your memories and in pictures. Find peace knowing she's at peace.
But she's not gone; she's always behind you for support.
Spookily beautiful!
