I woke
To gusts of wind, to mounds of snow I woke.
The skies let loose, the winter came, I woke.
With dread in heart, the morning came, I woke.
Where He once was, but now is gone, I woke.
Live on, my friend, in memory, I woke.
To celebrate another day, I woke.
Your smile reminds of summer days, I woke.
To realize you’ve left for good,I woke.
My friend, from camping passed yesterday. He was 87 if I recall. I will miss
him.
