UNFINISHED
By Al Garcia
As a writer, I think my writings, each one of them, to be a piece of art. The colors are my words, that give my work depth, texture and intensity. The background of each piece is my emotion, which highlights in various shades, the complexity of my feelings, my thoughts, my reactions. And the focaul point of each of my writings display my passion, expressed in the title that fueled and ignited my desire to write that particular piece of word art.
Each of my pieces are first drafts, completed in 10 to 30 minutes. I just let my mind wonder, and let the words flow, through my mind, into my fingers, and on to a screen. And in a matter of minutes, I post my creation for viewing, sometimes with a few errors, and sometimes wishing I could do it over again.
Yet, even after I read and post my creation on Booksie, I consider it unfinished, incomplete. It is only after someone reads my creation, that I consider it completed, and finally frameable, as a piece of art.
Am I alone, or do all writers feel this way?

Your poetry is done in thirty minutes? That's impressive, considering the breadth of your vocabulary.

Yeah. I just sit down at my computer and start typing whatever comes to mind. I never know what I'm gong to write about. However, once I start writing, I have a tendency to write several pieces along the same line, unitl my mind goes in another direction. Emotion has a lot to do with my writing, as does personal experiences, observations, reactions, etc.
