Don’t speak,

Just wrap your loving arms around me.

Coddle me like a needy infant.

Give me the warmth of your affection.

Let me adsorb your love like a sponge.

Don’t whisper, “I love you.”

The sound of your breathe soothes my hungry heart

The rain becomes distant. Clarity becomes real.

Our bodies intertwined, we meld together as one.

Don’t kiss me yet.

Snuggle your pretty head against my chest.

Feel my heart beating for you.

I cling to you like a life vest.

There’s no need to talk.

Cuddling each other, we forget the ticking of the clock.

Drape your leg over mine,

Squeeze me like a moist pillow.

Hold me softly.

Pretend we’ll never have to let go.

Rick, very romantic! Your poem would be great lyrics for a song!
