where i was when you blacked out

this is
where I was
when you blacked out
i was in the room with you
you were standing in front of me
telling me that you just let things roll off your back
your wife sat there and called me names
i was supposed to be okay with that
i was your daughter
and I nearly disowned you
you almost died on an airplane over Texas
you ended up at a hospital named
El Paso Del Sol
The Passage of the Sun
you dove into the sun that day
and emerged a bastard
still, i cried out your name like a child
until i fell asleep
a year later
you didn’t remember
a single thing
from the brink of your irises
i cling
to fragments of
my story
until they blend bloody
inside
the black holes
of your
eternal
memento mori
&
I cry
I cry
I cry
out your name
