I’ve Lived a Life

I’ve lived a life of Joy and Struggle, 

I’ve trudged over Hardship and Pain,

I know the feeling of Love and Grace. 

I’ve lived a life Dear Lord, I’ve lived A life.

A life of family love and family lost, 

There are no words to describe the holes in my soul, 

But there are also no words to describe the

Fulfillment of my Spirit. 

Words can not speak to the Darkness 

That plagued my Humanity, 

Or the renewal of rebuilt Self Love. 

Great lost can bring Great Darkness, 

Great misunderstanding and insecurity 

To those loved ones Unfulfilled. 

Life is a short shooting star in time, 

Often waisted by those who Live it. 

We should all try to see to the needs of others, 

Before the wants of Ourselves. 

Yes, I’ve lived a life, 

A life that to some may seem stern, 

Overreaching, even harsh, but given the 

Circumstances dealt, necessary for survival. 

We All must learn a lesson from the lemons 

That rain on the lives we live.

Some lessons are hard fought, 

But it’s a fight that cannot be backed down.

Because life is what you make it, 

Be Tormented by it, or embrace it and LIVE it.

I’ve Lived a Life Dear Lord, I’ve lived a life,

I’ve created it and I’ve lost it, 

Been haunted and nurtured by it.

But most of all, I’ve been blessed to live it,

Thank you for this life you’ve given me.
