Fun fact: I'm reading this as procrastination to delay studying for exams. But anyway, yes, very nice poem. And one I can really sympathise with...

Jealousy? Love? Hate? What Drove Me?
Chapter 1 - Jealousy? Love? Hate? What Drove Me?
I really like the story, the whole "black and very dark grey" morality thing - disturbing to read in a good way. Just a few little "technical" things I'd recommend to improve, if I may. I'm not sure if this is a deliberate effect or not, but the way you structure sentances can sometimes make them hard to read, and I needed to go over a few two or t... Read More

The Legend Born
by Alec Maynard
I like the plot and the characters a lot, and most of the speech between George and Tibbot feels natural, and is funny. There are just two small problems, in my opinion: the paragraph where sir George explains about the dragon attacking the city feel unnatural, as if he's addressing the reader and not Tibbot - if you just rearanged this, maybe adde... 123 wordsThursday, August 2nd, 2012 11:57amThis story is told in a kind of recollective manner. Much like Mary Shelley's Frankenstein. I like it. With it being a first chapter, not really much i can comment on in terms as story as im not going to be able to see where you going with it till a couple of chapters in. I like the mystery behind the main character and look forward to reading more, please keep me updated on this story. If you get the time, take a look a my own work. My novel is They Bring The Thunder, but if you dont have time for reading too much, check out my short story, Shackles. If you want to be really generous, read and comment on both :)
250 wordsMonday, July 9th, 2012 10:20pmHEY! Yes this is a reading request. AND PLEASE DON'T IGNORE IT. I have a novel called Nearly Dawn. WAIT, IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH TWILIGHT. It deals with this race called Havenits. The Havenits are at war with another race called the Calhan. There is fight scenes in the novel. AND YES THERE WILL BE FOUL LANGGUAGE BUT NOT EXCESSIVE. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR A FUN STORY, WITH A GOOD PLOT AND INTERESTING CHARACTERS THEN NEARLY DAWN IS FOR YOU. I will understand if the whole fantasy story isn't you speed ALL I ASK IS THAT YOU GIVE IT A CHANCE AND READ IT. You might find that do indeed like the concept. WITH MUCH JOY I PRESENT TO YOU NEARLY DAWN. We stand in front of each other bare and true. His snow white wings come out of his back. They are beautiful, exquisite, and the reason we will be separate. My tears stop flowing but the pain on the inside stays. I glide over to Hawke aware that he hasn’t taken his eyes off of me. I raise both of my hands up to his chest but I don’t touch him. His bronze hands meet my olive toned ones. How can simple touching feel more intimate than the things the women gossip about in the kitchen when the overlords aren’t near? There is a brief discomfort as my onyx wings burst out of my back. “Will you fly with me?” Hawke asks.
