A tour de force, in the tradition of Elizabeth Goudge, but one I do not have to reread to truly understand. The heart of the author revealed and placed before us for hard, cold but loving consideration. Thank you for the few moments of grazing in your literary pasture... Jim

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wyCVxPEPx5Y and the moon stood still, for the nightbird song. But if you stay....I'll make you a day, like no day has been, or will be again....this is what you gave me with this story or poem or moving piece of knife-shaped icicle you just stabbed into my heart.... Thank you, Jim

Brutal. True. And the results of the story are still coming in, unseen, only felt, invisible, only felt, nothing more to be heard, only felt. Wow. How did you write about my family so evocatively and true when you've never met me. I am you and you me....wonderfully moving story.
