please excuse the format. as well "I remember a time when it was considered common to treat others as we wished to be treated— a time when we still treated others accordingly." this line was my editors fault. it makes no sense and she killed the sentence. do not judge me based on this. ha

i like it, its just that i find it hard to work with the line "What about those songs I wrote for you?" though it works well with the poem, it doesn't flow very well and i find that i tend to try skipping over it because it feels like there is a break in the piece that is taking up too much time to read. other than that. its close to home
