"We are decided then? Alice goes back, and checks for Roja, and the rest of us enter the haunted house?" Arun asked, his hand on the door knob to the ancient house. Alice nodded, and started on her way back to Arun's house.

"Well, let's get going, we don't have all night!" Asiya shouted She was right, they didn't have all night. It was already getting dark outside, and the twilight had given the whole street an eery feeling, making them all shiver, even though it was far from cold. She slowly opened the door, and it squeaked creepily as she did.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Iris asked, her high heels making a clicking sound as she stepped inside, behind Asiya and Arun.

"Why wouldn't it be?" Asiya asked, looking around, looking like a kid in a candy shop.

The inside of the house was just as scary as the outside, and looked like it could've been taken straight out of a horror movie. Guru Guy closed the door behind them, he too looked like he really didn't want to be there. What are we doing? Arun thought to himself, regretting that they'd even stepped inside of this place.

"So, let's check out the second floor," Asiya beamed, already on her way up. "Wow! It's really dark up here. I can't find the switch." Then they heard a scream. It was Asiya.

"Asiya, are you okay?" They were all running up the stairs in panic.

"Ugh, you're all such scaredy cats. Especially you, Kitty Cat." She laughed, then added: "Yes, I'm talking to you." She pointed to Arie, and laughed again.

"You said it was dark. It's not dark," Iris said, stating the obvious.

"Right." Asiya seemed happy with herself.

"I can't find my glasses," Arun complained, walking around looking like a zombie.

"Weirdo." Abby laughed. "Just kidding, Arie," she added.

"Wow, being a meanie today, are we?" Arun asked, still looking like a confused zombie.

"Oh, here they are," Guru Guy said, picking up his glasses, and handing them over to 'Zombie'.

"Wait, where's Asiya?" Nimmy suddenly asked. She hadn't spoken since they had stepped inside.

"She was here, literally a second a go!" Panic was all over Izzy's face now.

"She's probably just trying to scare us again," Abby said, but it didn't look like she believed what she said.

"Yeah. Yeah, you're right," Guru Guy replied.

"How dare you step inside my house?" A voice suddenly spoke, it seemed as if it came from everywhere.

They all jumped, and clung to each other.

"What was that?" Nimmy asked, who was now crying, and clinging on to Izzy's arm.

"I have no idea," Arie replied, looking nervously around the dim lit room.

"Go down to the basement, this is an order. Or else ..."

"Go down to the basement? I don't want to be a part of this. Let's leave," Izzy said, hugging Nimmy back.

"It's probably just some silly teenagers, trying to mess with us," Guru Guy muttered.

"You know what? Let's vote. Those who are for going to to the basement, raise your hand," Arie ordered.

Make the choice:

Go down to the basement. (Chapter 9)

Leave. (Chapter 8)
