Bight lights appear in my vision, clouding my mind. I scream out as the car jolts to the side. Something has hit us. There’s another scream in the car, I think it’s from my
mom.
The bright lights are now pressed up against the driver’s side of the car. There’s a screeching noise breaking through the windows and crushing the glass.
“Momma!” I feel the worlds leave my throat before I can control the. Everything goes slow for a moment as shards of glance reach out and kiss my shoulders and neck. I can feel
the pain rolling across my body, soaking through my clothing. But then I realize that it’s not all of my blood. When I look next to me, there’s something slumped up against my shoulder.
I grab my mom’s shoulders and begin to shake, the seatbelt somewhat restricting me.
“Momma!” I scream, “Momma no!”
Her head rolls back. “No!”
The car stops moving abruptly, causing me to bang my head on the car door. “Momma! No Momma! Please Momma! Wake up. Please Momma!” I continue to scream in her ear, begging her to
wake up. She doesn’t wake up, I get more frustrated. “Momma! You can’t do this to me! You can’t leave me!”
I’m getting dizzy as someone busts open the door and undoes my seat belt. Two hands yank me from the wreck no matter how much I squirm and crawl out for her. “Momma! Don’t take
me from my momma!”
“Sweetie,” a strong voice says as I’m set on a rolling table. “Relax, you’re going to be okay.” Something is pushed into my hands. It’s my teddy bear that my mom had bought for
me when I was four.
“Where’s my momma?” I scream at him. “Where’s my momma?”
A needle sticks in my neck, and I’m more dizzy. I fall over, landing on the comfy table.
I sit up in a cold sweat, my hair sticking to every bit of my body. I’m gasping, trying to keep myself under control. My hands reach out in the giant bed for something, but
nothing is there. I walk to the bathroom, looking at the sleeping Beck as I do, and lock myself in.
The cold water splashing against my face does nothing to break me out of my tremors. Nothing helps, not even lying on the freezing floor for a good ten minutes. I’m still
sweating and trembling.
I go back to bed and try to fall asleep, but my attempts are in vain. I end up tossing and tumbling in my bed trying to get comfortable.
Finally, I take in a breath and walk to Beck’s bed. I sit down on the side and gently rub his shoulder to wake him up. His muscles tense under my touch. He rolls over towards me,
his face so smooth and peaceful. “Yes?” he asks and rubs his face with his hand. “What can I help you with, baby?”
“Move over,” I grumble and lie down next to him.
Without complain, he slides over to give me room. His arm wraps around my waist and brings me up against him. “Nightmare?” I hate how he knows me so well. “Want to talk about
it?”
“I was back in the car with my momma when she died,” I whisper into his shoulder as he pulls me close and rubs my back gently. “She died, on my shoulder.” I wrap my arms around
his waist and bury my head into his chest. He runs his hand over my hair and gently shushes me, trying to calm me down. I hiccup a few times before he finally silences me.
His lips touch my forehead before they drops down to my nose. I look up, allowing his lips to meet mine. I don’t fight him or act indifferent, but instead meet his push with as
much from me. His hand moves up to caress my cheek as the kiss deepens. He rolls partly on top of me and runs his tongue over my lips to tempt me. Finally, I open my mouth for him. Damn him being
such an amazing kisser.
I shutter as his lips move away from my mouth, down my cheek, and onto my neck. He doesn’t bite like he usually tries to do, but simply kisses along the most pulsing vein he can
find. It still make me moan and arch my back, wishing for more.
He pulls his lips away and then kisses my forehead. “Go to bed, baby. We’ll sleep in tomorrow, alight?”
“Sounds perfect,” I mumble as my lips brush up against his collar bone.
I fall asleep mixed in his arms a few moments before he does. We sleep in as late as we can, ignoring both the calls from my family and from his. Finally, he wakes me up for the
fifth time and lightly urges me towards the shower. “Don’t worry,” he announces, “I’ll stay out here.”
“You better,” I grumble and take my shower without any disturbances from my boyfriend. “Hey Beck,” I call through the door when I realize I had forgotten my bag in the living
room.
“Yeah?”
“Can you grab me my bag? Please?”
“Sure thing.” The door opens a crack a few moments later and then closes almost as quickly, and with a bit of a forceful shake. I slide into skinny jeans, a lacy top, and cowgirl
boots. Beck is lying on the couch watching Sportscenter on the flatscreen.
I sit down next to him, pull my feet up by my butt, and tuck my head against his shoulder. His arm wraps around my shoulders. “Are we just going home?” I ask.
“In a little bit.”
“Thanks for last night,” I whisper.
Beck chuckles, “I’d happily do it again, even without the hot make out session.” My phone begins to buzz so I yank it out of my back pocket.
“Hello?” I ask.
“Hey sweetie,” Dad says, “what’s going on?”
“Oh, Beck and I stayed out kind of late last night, so we slept in.”
“He there?”
I hand the phone to Beck. “Morning Sir. Yeah, she’s hard to handle I guess. I tried to keep her from going out last nights,” he smirks, “alright sir, I guess it was partly me
to.” I feel his chest vibrate as he chuckles. “Don’t worry sir, I’ll have her sleeping in her own bed tonight. We’ll see you when we get back. Bye sir.”
He gives the phone back.
“Sir?” I ask.
Beck shakes his head, “I try to make a good impression on your father. Hush.”
“We should get going, it’s not a very short drive back,” I say and push myself up to my feet. I go to collect my stuff as he does the same. We’re back on the road within twenty
minutes. To summarize the car ride, I slept. Beck drove.

I like how Beck was being very sweet in this and didn't try to take her while she was vulnerable. I like this side of Beck. KMU
