I've often wondered, "how would you describe colours to someone who couldn't see?" And recently I started watching a series where the main character is blind and it brought up the question again. How do you describe colours to someone who can't see? So I decided I'd try to do just that, describe colours using just smell, taste, touch, hearing and emotions. This isn't really a novel, but I want to get the description of each colour as good as I can before I post, and that's going to take some time.

Red

Red is strong. It’s a range of thoughts and feelings from love to anger to hate. It’s standing in front of a raging fire or walking barefoot through a pine forest. It’s a thunderstorm or a tree falling in a forest. It’s the loud pop of a balloon bursting and the taste of blood in your mouth. Red is danger, red is passion. Red is the rush of fear you feel in the pit of your stomach as you take one extra step at the top of a staircase and your foot plunges through the air. Red is freely showing your emotions to the world and not caring what the world thinks.
