*Read 'Faith, Surviving Cancer,' as it was made for an intro, unattended. I didn't know I'd be continuing this, but, a really wanted to, so...yeah. LOL. Here you go*

I awoke in the middle of the night, feeling sick. Not that I wasn't used to it, it actually happened a lot. It'd be followed afterwards by puking.

And, just by saying it, I puked, all of the bed. It was blood mixed in with what I had for dinner last night. The point is, it didn't look okay at all, and I still felt naseous and dizzy, so I got out of bed. I hit the button next to my bed that Dr. Costello told me to hit when I needed help or assistance. I heard ruckus beginning from somewhere in the hospital, and soon enough some nurses came in. They saw what was going on-and me doubled over in pain and cupping my head from my dizzines-and immediately went to work.

A nurse came over to me while the other nurses began cleaning up and such. The nurse-who I saw was named Daisy-helped me sit down in one of the visitor's chairs near the bed. She gave me a bottle of water while she rubbed my back, telling me that it was okay and that I was going to be fine, and also that this happened to everyone eventually. She was incredibly nice.

It was then that Dr. Costello came in, too. He was dressed in his doctor's clothes, covered up by a gray trenchcoat and -might I say, 'real' shoes. He look concerned as he went over to me and talked to one of the nurses.

I felt real dizzy as I swayed and cupped my head. This hasn't happened before to me, being all dizzy like this, and I wasn't used to it. I groaned as I swayed and felt arms around me, and soon felt into unconciousness.

I was being wheeled into the hospital by my parents, only at 5 years of age. Blood seeped from my mouth as I was put on a stretcher and was being carried away.

The nurses and doctors-one of them being Dr. Costello-took care of me. During the inspection, Dr. Costello held my hand through the whole thing. He was told to. It was his first time there and he was just seeing how things worked. That was when I first met him.

And throughout my life, I've been taken to the hospital. My parent's refused to make me stay there until I got better, but by the age of 13 they had no choice to. And ever since then, Dr. Costello was my friend.

I even remembered the time that he had dressed up like a clown when I was '6,' in the hospital for my 7th birthday party. I missed the party, so he dressed up like a clown and made me laugh. He even drove to my house and got the presents by himself for me and brought them back to me. My parents were in London at the time doing who-knows-what, and so he 'filled in' for them.

We knew each other so well that, when I was 10, he even invited me to his wedding, all the while telling my parents, "I'm a doctor, obviously, and have back-up plans, come disaster.' I didn't know what that meant at the time, really, so he explained to me that if I were to have an accident at the wedding, he'd take care of me. My parents couldn't come because they were going to be busy in England somewhere, again, doing who-knows-what.

And that other time-

"Faith," whispered a voice. "Faith, Faith, wake up. If you can hear me, wake up."

I fluttered my eyes open to see Dr. Costello. He looked worried-and hot-but mostly worried. I looked around the room and saw that I was on my bed with new sheets and pillows, and I had a nw hospital nightgown on.

"Faith," Dr. Costello said. "Are you okay?"

I get furious when people ask me that question. Of course I wasn't okay! I have cancer and it's eating me up alive!

He instantly paled. 'Oh, no,' I thought. 'I just said that aloud.'

"I'm sorry," he and I both said simultaneously. I laughed and he smiled. I smiled. This day was aready getting better.

"I have a surprise for you today," he said, still smiling.

"What is it?"

"You'll see." And with that he got up and left the room, left me thinking, 'WHAT!?!?'
