December 19th

On The Nineteenth of December,

It was a day of ups and downs.

A day where i ate the days of chocolate,

I forgot to open on my advent calander.

It was a day where i was making cookies,

A family tradition.

A day where you forget what's on your mind,

Where you can have some joy.

A day where your clothes get ruined by all the messy flour,

because one forgot her apron or a bobble for her hair.

Today i felt good again for a little while,

But the pain that rushes through my body,

Wouldn't let me forget that i can't do what i once did,

All those years ago.

It hurt my legs to stand too long,

As i measure the flour into a bowl.

My arm it aches from the pains,

My arms too tired from whisking the ingrediants away.

My hands they cramp as i try to cut the cookies,

A snow flake here, A snow man there.

Wow there's flour every where.

I get back home limping,

My body hurts too much.

Why can't i just bake some cookies

Like all the other families.

Why can't i just hold a mix for another two minutes.

Christmas parties come and go,

My body aches too much too go.

I'm not over doing it,

I'm not slacking off

But for some reason my body doesn't want to comply,

With what i tell it too do.

Inside i crash and burn on the bed,

For now till Christmas day.
