December 25th

December twenty-Fifth is Christmas Day,

Do you hear the little patters on the floor.

The children are waking up,

Sneaking out their rooms to see

If santa has been.

They wake up their parents,

A knudge here and a knudge there.

The excitement is too much for them,

They want to see what presents they have under the tree.

Breakfast first before opening presents,

That's the rule it's always been.

Then it's time to get under the tree,

The wrapping paper flies off the toys,

Quicker than it toke to wrap.

Peices scattered on the floor,

Here goes mum with the black bag in hand,

Gathering it all into her bag.

Gifts are shared around galore,

Everyone thankful for all they recieved.

Everyone can't wait to try out their toys,

Their phones and their bikes.

Gather round the christmas table,

Pull your crackers we'll see who wins.

I've a blue Christmas hat,

And a little key ring.

Food is delicious as we laugh round the table,

As we spend our day with the ones we love,

Never wanting the day to end.
