Chapter 5:

On the walk back from getting icecream

"Can we go back. I really want my icecream cone." Ryan asked turning around to walk back.

I then filled with rage. He was so self observed. It drove me insane. "You shouldn't have shoved it in my face then." I said as took a bit of my cone.

He smiled to him self. "Plus I forgot my moms sundea anyway."

I rolled my eyes. I was starting to think that he was one of those guys that could have lost his own head if it wasn't screwed on right. "Fine. But, it's for your mom." I ran up to him as he waited for me.

When we got there there were a few people there.One of corse that I couldn't take my eyes off of. There was a guy with curly brown hair,bright blue eyes, and the cutest baby face. He was super tall with a masculine build but, not to masculine that it ws gross. Just enough to make me drool.

Then I was completely shockedto see him smile and wave at me. Is he looking at me? I turned around to see if anyone was behind me. There was nobody. I turned and smiled flirtatiously at him. Then he started walking towards me. He's coming this way! EEP!!!

"Hey Mandy." My smile quickly faded. How does he know my name?

"Do you know him?" Ryan whispered into my ear. I shook my head shocked not wanting to say anything.

The boy then came up rapping his around my waist. I gasped and quickly pushed him away. "What the hell are you doing?" I asked almost as a yell.

He smiled a crooked smile at me. "Man girl, you don't remember last night do you?How could you forget after what we did?" he whispered in my ear as he touched my ass. I looked over at Ryan, who must have herd him because he looked like he was about to kill the guy.

I pushed him away for the second time. Tears started filling my eyes from embarrassment. I can't believeI would do something like that. I wrapped my arms around myself and turnedmy side to him looking at Ryan. "Can we just go now?" I asked not making eye contact with him.

I felt his arm wrap arond my shoulders. "Ya lets go."

"Oh, is that your boyfriend?" he asked as we turned around to go.

"Just ignore it." Ryanwhispered into my ear as I watched me feet as we walked.

"Dude hopefully she's better for you than me. I mean, from guy to guy, she didn't put out anything out therebut, man she a hell of a good ride if you're board." He shouted at us.

The tears I was trying to hold back then got worse. I then felt Ryan's arm stiffen around me and let go. "Dude shut up right now!" I looked up from my feet just in time to see Ryan punchhim right in the face. Blood immediately came gushing out from his nose.

"Son of a bitch!" He screamed. By now there was a crowd around stairing at all three of us. Ryan quickley came back over to me, with his nostrils flarring and rage in his eyes.

"Come on.Lets go.Forget my mom's icecream." He grabbed my hand and we walked.My hand in his. I'm so embarrassed. I can't believe I would do something like that... and with that jerk! why would Ryan do that for me though? I mean I thought he pretty much hated me. I looked up at Ryan whose eyes were still filled with rage and still holding my hand. I stopped walking and pulled my hand out of his. He stopped and turned to look at me. "What's wrong?" His face wentsoft and serene I guess after he saw I was hurt.

I wrapped my arms back around me. I let my eyes wonder as I tried to find the words to use. "Thanks... For sticking up for me." I looked down at my feet.

I listened for his voice but didn't hear anything. I waited for a minute and then I felt his arms snake around me. What's this all about? I waited for a minute for him to let go but, then I felt his head sink into my shoulder. Aww, oh well. I need a hug anyway.

I slowly wrapped my arms around his back and burried my face into his chest. Tears slowly came down my face and I coulde feel them soaking his shirt.

He released but, kept hishands on my shoulders. Tears still going down my face. He took his right hand and cupped at around my cheek whipping the tears off with his big thumb.

"I can't stand guys like that." He simply said breaking the silence. "Using a girl like that. I mean come on!" he said letting go. I looked down at my feet again.

"Can you do me a favor?" I asked as a whisper. I didn't think he would hear me but, he did.

"Another one!" Yup, the old Ryan's back.

I nodded myeyes still looking down at my feet. I contemplated on asking him but, I thought sense he already knew, "Can we go get a Pregnancy Test?" I waited but didn't hear anything. I looked up to see him standing there with his mouth open and his eyes wide. "Ryan?" He quickly closed his mouth.

"Why would you need one?" Dumbass! Yes the dumb Ryan was back. I kinda like it though.

I rolled my eyes at him. "Ryan I don't know what happened last night. Hard telling if he used protec--"

"Ok. that's enough information. I got it lets go."

I smiled at him. For a guy he's being really cool about all of this.

"Who knew there were so many pregnancy tests?" Ryan said picking up a couple. "Which one are you going to try?"

If I knew I would have had one already don't you think? I looked at all of them. there had to of been at least 20. I looked at the labbles. some you had to wait an hour and some you had to wait like five minutes. I grabbed the two expensive ones that only took like 5 minutes to find out.

We went up to pay and the man at the cash register just looked at me. "There's a bathroom in the back if you don't want to take it home." I lightly smiled. "That'll be $12.27." I grabbed my walet. and only had a 10.

"Ryan?" I asked jesturing to the man.

"Ok." He gave him 3 $1 bills. "Keep the change." I grabbed my tests and headed for the bathroom.

"Good luck kids." the man said as we disappeared into the back. Eww. He thought that I was with Ryan. That's sick! I would never!

Waiting for that five minutes to end was endless. My heart was pounding and my mind was racing. What if I am Pregnant. My mom would kill me and for two mouths I would have to hide it. My thougts were interupted by a knock on the door. "Can I come in?" I herd Ryans voice. I went and let him in locking the door behind him not wanting anyone to come in.

"How much longer?" He sat down on the toilet.

"Two minutes." I guessed.

"Are you scared?" neither one of us made eye contact with eachother.

Inodded my head. "Yah."

"If you are, are you going to tell him?" he asked referring to the dad.

I shook my head "I don't know?" I hadn't even thought about that. I don't think I would tell him. I mean I wouldn't want my kid growing up with a father like that. I would wantthem to have a father like I had.I quickly pushed my thought's away going back to thetest.

"What are you going--"

"Can we please stop playing 20 questions already!" I screamed at him. All my feelings were so scrambled right now I didn't really know what I was doing.

The last minute then passed in silence. "Time to look." I said picking it up off of the sink. Ryan got up and came over to me. "Their bothpink." I said shocked.

"You're having a girl?" Ryan rambled on. What an idiot!

"No! It means that I'm not pregnant!" I screamed jumping up and down.He pulled me into a quickhug and there was a knock on the door.

"Um...I have to use the restroom could you hurry please." We both busted up laughing. Today is a very interesting day.
