At dinner I ate as much as I could eat.
"Mom, you don't work, only at home, why can't you care for it for awhile?"
"No, I can't. I gota new job at the hospital. My friend got me the job."
"Oh. Then I'm dropping out."
"You will not!"
"I will! I can make my own choices."
I got up and went upstairs. I contemplated running away but quickly threw the idea away. I layed downand cried. Amy called me but I didn't answer.
**May 29: Sleepover**
My mom dropped me off at Amy's house at 4:00 p.m. I carried my bag and waved to my mom. I went up to the door. Amy was already waiting. Shana was sitting on the couch. I put my bad down and sat by Shana. They were just watching TV. Her mom was cooking dinner for us. Her mom brought in minisalads and plates of spaghetti. We began eating, my salad was gone quickly. The spaghetti was amazing.
"Thanks Dr. Corten."
"You're welcome. I'm oging out so the house is yours."
She left a few minutes later. We were talking for awhile. We heard a clicking noise in the kitchen. Amy got up and went into the kitchen.
"Amy?" Shana asked. It was quiet in the kitchen. We stayed where we were worried. Shana got up and went into the kitchen. I curled up more and sat shaking.
