"What? Is she okay?"
"She's bruised and has some cuts."
"Is that it?"
"No."
"What happened?"
"He...raped her."
"What? Who's he's?"
"She claims Joey."
"He's not in school. Did they get him?"
"Yes. He says he did nothing."
"Come pick me up."
"Okay. Be there in a few minutes."
We hung up and I waited. Ten minutes later he picked me up. We went to the hospital. He took me to Amy. She smiled when she saw me. We hugged and I didn't want to let her go. If Joey touched her I'd kill him.
"Who did this to you?"
"Joey. I stayed 8th. As I was leaving he grabbed me. He said that if I didn't cooperate he'd kill me or you."
"Oh no. I'm so sorry."
"It's okay. I'm fine."
I stayed with her that whole day. I was so worried. My dad came back and said they arrested Joey. My dad was a police officer. Amy's mom came back a few minutes later.
"He told me to tell you something."
"What?"
"That...if you don't get rid of the baby yourself he will. Or he'll keep trying to hurt us."
I closed my eyes worried. Would Joey really do something like this? I didn't know the answer but I was afraid of what he might do next.
