I ran down to the barn whistling to my horse. when I opened the barn door Wildfire put his head over his stall door. The tiny star on his head was shaped like a flame. He was my baby since day one. My mom had died almost 10 years ago in a very bad car accident. After months of me moping my dad got a horse. Wildfire got me out of my sadness. I never think of ever losing him.
I got his feed made and gave it to him. I put some hay in his net and got him some fresh water. I took him out of the stall and groomed him to a shine. I left him cross tied and cleaned his stall and laid some more straw down. When I got him in his stall and double checked everything I left the barn and left for school. My dad was up when I stepped into the kitchen. I kissed him goodbye and left. I got to the end of our driveway as the bus pulled up. I got on and took my usual seat.
When I got to school Kesha was waiting for me.
"Hey Sasha!"
"Hi Kesha."
We were best friends since kindergarten. She was by my side everyday.
