My hands gripped the steering wheel tightly. I had to tell them. They gave me the support to do this. The house approached, I parked. After getting out of the car, I ran up the steps and rang the door bell. It was a few seconds before the screen openend.

"Hello Abbi! What a lovely suprise." My dad said, opening the door.

"Dad, Mom, i have great news." I spoke, as my dad sat on the couch joining my mom.

"What is it Angel?" mom asked.

"I made the team!" I said, full of energy.

"Abbi! Thats great!" dad said, hugging me tight.

"Oh baby, I'm soooo proud of you. You worked so hard." Mom said, in her nerturing voice.

"I know! You were the first people I had to tell." I smiled and balanced on one foot.

"So, um, I kinda have to go. I know I just got here, but I'm gonna be late for school. Professor Tran said we have a test today so . ." I trailed off. My mom made a " tisk tisk"  noise and shook her head. Both of my parents came to give me one last hug.

"Well good luck Abbi!" they both said together. I waved and left the house, re-entering the car. Ok, lets do this. My mind was full of thoughts as I raced down the road, ready for anything.
