Why Can't I be Human in Your Eyes

Chapter 2

FF To the next day
The sun rose silently on the next day the wind had stopped its rampage and the rain its assault. As the sunlight slowly crawled into the room and the light wind played with the long white curtains that now hung freely on either side of the newly opened balcony door. It was my job to be there but it still didnt make it any easier. Sneaking around the place I had so willing called home only years ago. Stealing from my former family as they all lied asleep in their beds unaware of the others presence or mine. Urgal was running interference with the security guards well Lassirra was scooping out the rooms ahead of me. When I stumbled upon an opened book it was a childrens tell used to scar little boys and girls away from entering the sinister forest and the alley ways that surrounded it. To keep them away from the Mutants that they had spun such evil tells about. The pictures of my friends and basically my new family scattered throw out the pages off nonsense blood dripping from there mouths or claws, spears in even the most peaceful creatures hands sounded by hundreds of mangled CD bodies. Even the half breeds werent safe from the books lies as they to where portrayed as the monsters that none of them were. It was true that ever last person in the alliance had at lest one kill to their name mainly due to begin surrounded and cornered by the CDs on one of their annual Mutant hunts. Where they would brutally murder any alliance member they could find and leave them hanging in the trees a blaze for everyone to see and they call us monsters. Everyone here this morning knew of the risk of getting caught and just what theyd do to them if they were. But families were hungers back home and are sick were only getting sicker with out the meds we so desperately needed to cure them healing powers can only go so far. I pushed the book a side sending it sliding across the desk and to the floor with a soft thud on the carpet. It fell open to the very page I had avoided when I had skimmed it pages there I was just like the rest nothing but a monster in my families eyes used to scar my younger brother and sister. I kicked the book closed when I heard someone behind me.
"Adurna." Latimer said softly from behind me
"Yes." I answered turning around
"Are you okay?"
"Yea I'm fine,"
"Well come on then I have something to show you,"
Latimer and I walked over to a small room to are left in told silent less.
"Look," Latimer said pointing one of his pale fingers at the far window in the room. A small sealed jar with little holes in the lid sat on the window sill. In witch lied a small man nearly as small as Lassirra fast a sleep he lied in the jar barely breathing.
"It's sickening what CD thinks as a human way to treat a creature as delicate as a Pixie," growled Latimer glaring down at the crib before us. A baby girl lied asleep amongst the covers.
"Didn't this use to be your room Adurna?" Latimer questioned
"At a time it was right in front of the bookcase is were I first laded eyes on you Latimer,"
"Ah yes I remember that night it was a lot like last that locket around your neck shocking you as it tried to take control , that and your blood was the weirdest Ive ever tasted," He smiled showing his fangs . As he looked hungrily down at my replacement I mean baby.
"Her names Emma." Said a familiar voice from behind us that made Latimer growl and I go stiff as I slowly turned around to face the lady half responsible for my life and my
down fall the lady I had once called my mother. Just as Lassirra came flying in the room and attempted to catch her breath on my shoulder.
"You look so much like your father." The lady spoke sending shivers down my back how dare she talk about my father pure blooded giant he was, and then have me call that old curl man father instead because she was ashamed of what she had done. My real father was killed in a Mutant hunt soon after I was outcast to the alliance he was o so happy that they hadn't killed his little girl.
"Adurna , Adurna, the CD their awake," Lassirra spoke trying to come her self . I pointed forward and Lassirra mouthed an O
"Here take this she belongs with the rest of you anyway." The lady said handing me a jar with another pixie in it this one was all pink except for her skin that was almost tan.
"Pinky!" Lassirra cried from my shoulder flying over to the jar and try so desperately to remove the lid but found it futile to even move it.
"Adurna please." Lassirra pleated
I removed the lid and out flew the pink pixie that Lassirra attacked in a hug. It made me smile to see Lassirra like this but both me and Latimer had to get everyone out before they were caught. But when I looked back Latimer was reaching down for the small child.
"Latimer no."
"O just a little bite I wont kill it I promise," said Latimer sarcastically
"Later we have to go their awake,"
"Very well I'll summon the others," Latimer smiled parenting to drop the baby before putting it back in the crib and finished into thin air.
"O my god Mike!" screamed Lassirra as she nelt beside the first jar were the man now stood wide awake and smiling. I quickly opened the jar and I dont think Ive ever seen Lassirra happier as the two flew around each other.
"Damn it Pixie what are you trying to do get use killed," Urgal hissed well slithering back up to my shoulders." Ah there's three of them Adurna please tell me their all not living with now I can't even stand the first one you brought home."
Before we all leaved out the very window we had earlier entered from. Urgal muttering curse at the three Pixies flying around and a tempting to make Nia into an afternoon snack until snap
"Urgal," I warned and he smiled "Spit it out,"
"Spit what out," Urgal mumbled mouth still closed.
"Nia,"
"I don't see any Nia,"
Lassirra flew over and slapped Urgal as hard as I'm sure a Pixie her size could.
"Ow," Urgal cried out opening his mouth and out flew Nia
"I wasn't going to eat her I don't eat junk food gees Pixie," Urgal ground before moving closer to my neck and falling asleep we were now on the edge of the forest
"What is this place were going to," asked Pinky
"It's the alliance a place were everyone a somebody from a wear wolf right down to even half breeds like tiger like humans." Answered Mike proudly
"He's so smart isn't he Adurna," said Lassirra dreamily.

"Sure," I answered smirking at Urgal's half threatening glare at me. This made poor little Mike blush just as we entered the head building of the Alliance headquarter climbing the steps up to my small apartment on the second floor I opened the door to see
"Hello,Adurna,"
