Silvia walks down the streets of Pompeii smiling and greeting everyone she walked past. She looked truly happy on the outside like she always did but on the inside she was scared because of what Chaz the leader said to her before she left.
"You will have to let your love and feelings towards others go in order to win this battle."
"What do mean."
"You love and care about others which is good but most of the time with you that comes with a cost. You will always put others before yourself and when going up against Cameron that will give her and opportunity to make things stink by hurting innocents in front of you. When you go out there you have to remember that you are number one even if that means leaving everyone else behind."
"There is one thing no one ever taught me, how I will know when I find Cameron."
"You just do it's like a little bell goes off in your head and from then on you just have to follow your instincts."
Silvia just kept walking around now starting to doubt that she had picked the right place because no little bells or random feeling had happened to her yet. The ground started to shake around her and Silvia told people to take cover. She ran around helping as many as she could, when all the sudden she tripped over something and fell to the ground. The shaking stopped and Silvia looked back to find and little boy also lying on the ground. She ran toward him and asked, "Are you all right."
"Ya, I think so," said the little boy now standing up.
"Where are your parents?"
"I'm hiding from them."
"Because the volcano is angry and my family has been known to have spirits that control the volcano. So my parents want me to go up there and try and calm it down, but I don't want to. I was hopping if I stayed hidden long enough they would send one of my brothers or sisters instead."
"Well I really think you should go back to them, there probably worried sick."
"No, I can't, I won't."
"Fine then at least stay by me for a little while then I will take you home at day’s end." The boy was very hesitant at first by this but as Silvia turned to leave he followed. "So, I'm Silvia what is your name."
"Filippo," the boy said looking around for some reason trying not to look at her. "You're very pretty," he finally said and Silvia could see that he was blushing.
"Thank you," she said leaning down to give him a kiss on the cheek when she felt a little tug in side. She looked up and saw a girl with long ruby red hair, pale skin and really dark eyes. Somewhere inside Silvia knew that this was Cameron.
