Chapter 4

Alice kept on looking through the future; she was resting her head on my shoulder, our hands in twined.

I was looking at my future wife’s face. She was such a marvelous creature, beautiful. But what’s bothering me the most is why is it I can handle my thirst? And with all these people around me, how do I control myself so well? I see only one reason: Alice.

Alice’s eyes opened, and I can’t help to look at it.

“Jasper”

“Yes Alice?”

“Don’t let Edward get to me!” she giggled.

I laughed too. My octave and her musical voice matched perfectly. “Don’t worry Alice, I won’t let anyone come near you” though I don’t know who this Edward is.

After a long ride, Alice and I finally arrived in Washington. I saw all the human passengers stretch and loosen themselves. I snorted. Look how weak they are.

“Jasper let’s run” Alice chimed.

“Sure Alice” I said. And we dashed off through the trees. We arrived at Forks after an hour.

Alice searched around the woods; we both smelled a scent, a scent of our kind.

“Does this scent belong to one of the Cullens?” I asked.

“This scent belongs to Edward, he and Emmett went to hunt”

“Alice you still haven’t told me what solution they have”

“They hunt animals Jasper, Lion, Deer, Bears animals, mostly herbivores; they’re taste are the closest to human blood.”

“But Alice, can I make it?”

“I know you can Jasper”

I nodded.

“Now, let’s go to their house.” Alice said.

I nodded and we ran towards a new scent, belonging to another Cullen.
