Chapter 5

The Trophy Room

Somehow James had never in his whole life had to clean the school trophy's for a detention. It just seemed that he was always the ring leader and would normally go to the Forbidden Forest with Hagrid than stay inside and clean. That was normally what Lewis or even Diana would have to do.
So, for the first ever time James was cleaning the Trophy Room, Muggle style.
It seemed a bit weird to be doing it. James never normally did house work because his mum didn't want them to do it wrong. Punishments at home were even worse.
He picked up the sponge from the bucket and started to clean a Special Award to the School trophy as he started to think about Professor Murch. She was his least favourite teacher and she didn't seem to like him that much either. It was a pity she taught his favourite subject. Maybe they'll get a new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher at some point. James liked that idea because it wasn't very often they got a new teacher nowadays.
It was at this that he started to see what was written on the trophy.

This Special Award For Service To The School
Is Awarded To Mr Ronald Weasley.
1993

James stared at the words. Uncle Ron had never said a word about that. He looked over at the one next to it and saw, instead of Ron's name, was Mr Harry Potter.
James seemed freaked. Why hadn't his father or uncle told any of them about this? James started to walk around the trophy room to look at all the different ones. Stopping at the Quidditch trophy's. Something had to be there. And there was.
On three of the trophy's it had Harry Potter on it. Two had Ginny Weasley and Ron Weasley. His mum was a Seeker? His parents hadn't mentioned this either.
James was wanting to finish the cleaning much quicker now.

James managed to finish cleaning the trophy's before any of the others had gone to bed. He walked into the Gryffindor common room to see Lily, Hugo, Rose, Diana, Lewis, Archie and Isaac still up.
"Why are you still up, it's midnight." James said, sitting down next to Lily.
"We wanted to tell you the Dueling Club's still on this year." Said Diana, pointing to the notice board.
"Um, right." He straightened himself then looked at his sister and cousins. "Hey, did you guys know our parents are liars?"
For a minute they just started at him, then Rose asked "What do you mean?"
He told them all about the trophy's he had seen.
"Dad did say once or twice he was on the Quidditch team but I never knew about mum. And The Special Service Awards?" James said.
"Not dad. Dad could never have played Quidditch. Never." Hugo said.
Rose was more interested in the Special Service Awards, like James, but Lily didn't say anything. It was Diana who noticed first the way she just seemed to stare at nothing.
"Uh, Lily? You feeling alright?" At these words everyone looked at Lily.
"I think I'm going to puke." And before anyone good move she threw up all over the floor.
Hugo and Archie both jumped up to take her to the hospital wing, Diana started to clean up the sick while Rose, Lewis and Isaac started to look around for something to do.
"We should get a prefect! You'll get in trouble if you try to go there alone!" Isaac said.
"You're right! I'll go and get Liliane! I like her." Rose darted up the stairs to the girls dormitories. Lewis and Isaac just stood by the side and watched. James started to came Lily down.
"How do you feel?"
"Bad."
"How's your head?"
"Feels like it's going to split!"
"Why didn't you tell us before?"
"It just happened!"
She gave an ear splitting scream, crumpled to the ground, her hand on her forehead.
"Lily! What's wrong!" James screamed.
"It hurts!"
"What hurts!"
"Isn't that obvious!" Diana said, running over.
Rose came running back down with a girl from the 6th year. She was tall but had that glow that made you trust her at sight.
"Lily?" Liliane said. "You OK?"
"NO!" Lily cried. "It burns!"
"Let's get her to the hospital wing. Now!"
Liliane, Hugo and Archie left. The others didn't know what to do after that. Slowly, one by one, they went to bed. James was the last one. As Lewis went to bed he turned to the notice board. One notice caught his eye.

Quidditch tryout's for Seeker, Keeper and one Chaser. Next Sunday.

"Why not?" James asked him self. "It might be fun."
