Dear Diary,

I don’t know whether or not to be extremely scared, or extremely happy. When I say that I’m not popular, I mean it. I’m usually the one who stays in the back of the room and always sits at an empty table at lunch. That’s why I’m so surprised that Amber Tate and her crowd of followers came and sat at the same table as me. I tried to get up and walk away, but the biggest one stood over me so I couldn’t.  I think his name is Marten, though I’m not quite sure. The popular kids all look the same to me. Anyway, at first I thought they were going to kill me or something. Instead, they actually congratulated me on getting my art in the main hallway. Though it happens all the time, they just now notice?

“I found it rather inspiring,” said Amber Tate.

“It was Johnny The Homicidal Maniac on a killing spree. How the hell is that inspiring?” I ask her.

She said that that wasn’t the point. Then, she asked me if I would like to come to a party. A party? What the hell? I never saw that one coming. She didn’t even give me any time to answer. She just told me it was at her house on Saturday and left. All of them just left. I don’t know if I should be terrified or not. Even though I really don’t want to, I probably will. Saturday is the day that my parents get drunk. Well, they do almost every night, but Saturday is the worst. Also, when they get drunk, they tend to get a little abusive. Nothing major, just a few punches here and there. I never get too hurt physically, but I do get hurt mentally. It isn’t very encouraging to get a punch in the stomach for just walking to the restroom.

“Get the hell out of my way,” they always say. Or, “Why do you even exist? You shouldn’t have been born.” They also keep me awake by fucking each other. Nothing keeps you awake like hearing your mother’s screams, and your father’s grunts in the middle of the night. My life is complete shit at this point, as you can tell.
