The Story Of Us
Me, Max, Caleb, Hallie, Sky, and Nate all sat in the Saunders’s living room, watching the third Transformers movie. It was like triple move date, except we weren’t paying for overpriced movie theater popcorn. And here I was able to prop up my broken leg.
After homecoming, Nate and Sky made it official, and finally became boyfriend girlfriend. I couldn’t have been happier for her, she had been crushing on him since the 8th grade.
Max’s fingers gently rubbed up and down my arm. I looked up and him, and my eyes meet his. I have him a little kiss, and before I knew it, we were making out.
A few low coughs echoed threw out the room, and I broke away from Max. Everyone was staring at us, and I could feel heat rise to my cheeks.
“Our bad.” Max smirked trying to hold in laughter. I punched him in the side, and buried my face in his chest.
I felt my phone go off in my pocket. I pulled it out to see one new message from Sky. I looked at her, giving her and little look. “Read the text.” She mouthed. I rolled my eyes at her, and click the read button.
Sky: I need to talk to you.
Amanda: About what?
Sky: At the homecoming dance last weekend, every time a slow song came on, Max was dancing with this one girl. It looked pretty romantic to me.
I felt my heart skip a beat. I looked up at Max and he gave a little half smile, kissed me on the forehead and turned back to the movie.
Amanda: What was her name? What did she look like?
Sky: I’m pretty sure her name is Lexi. She’s pretty short, brown hair, pale with freckles.
I felt relief flood through my body.
Amanda: That’s actually one of his best friends. Lexi is really nice and she has a boyfriend who goes to her church. But thanks for telling me.
Sky: No problem(: What are friends for?
I slid my phone back into my jeans pocket, and snuggled up to my perfect boyfriend.
*Six Weeks Later*
I couldn’t hide my grin as I stared at my cast-less leg. Six long weeks, but my cast was finally off. Pretty soon I would be back in the air, doing what I love best, cheerleading.
“Make sure to take cheering easy, and don’t rush into anything extreme. Make sure to stretch your leg extra good. Other than that you seem to be walking perfectly and are free to go.” Dr. Reyes said patting me on the back.
Right as I got home, cell phone blared in my purse. Caleb’s picture appeared on the screen.
“Hey Caleb, what’s up?”
“I heard you just got your cast off.” Caleb replied.
“Yup. Actually just about an hour ago.” I said letting out a little laugh.
“Anyways I was thinking we could do the home homecoming dance on Saturday.” Caleb said through the phone.
“But that’s only three days way, is that even enough time?” I asked walking up the stairs to my room.
“Of course. I got it all planned. You just have to show up looking beautiful like always.”I felt a blush rise through my body.
“Well I have to go do some weird stretches but I’ll talk to you later.” I said hanging up the phone.
I threw myself on my bed think about how great Saturday was going to be.
Brace yourself this is going to be a long little author’s note. But it has some important stuff in it. For one there is mostly going t be a few more time jumps. The next one is going to be about one year. You’ll find out why(; So currently I really don’t have a lot of time to write, because teachers refuse to let me have time for thing other then school. So I wanted you all to decide what I should do. There I two options about how I will be posting chapter for The Story of Us from now on. One: I can just keep on posting them whenever I can. Two: Or we can wait a few months, I can get all the chapters written, and then I can post then every other day. In the next chapter which I’m hoping will be out this weekend, I will let you know what the decision is. Thanks Guys.
