Chapter 25: One Who Owns The Battle

Sameul, in his jeep says to his 'buddy', John the machine gun operator,

"I'm bored, I wish something would happen!!"

"Ah shut up you whinebag! At least we're not getting killed like that patrol squad last night!"

"That's what I'm talking about! Why the heck are we worried about some random girl anyway?"

"Hey, hold on, I can see someone... it looks like - ARRGH!!!" He yells as Instinct plunges a knife into him, then turns his machine gun turret at Sameul.

"Oh come on!" He yells as she opens fire.

This attracts the attention of the other troops, and they immediatly open fire. After their bullets all bounce off her, a tank rolls up and aims square at her.

"What are you doing?! We need her alive-" BOOM!

For a moment, silence.

"...You thought that would kill me? It certainly hurts, but nothing more."

She steps from the dust, angrier than ever. Before the tank can fire again, she rushes it. Grabbing it, she slowly lifts it off the ground over her head with a slight grunt.

"You've got to be kidding!" One soldier yells.

She gives the soldiers a smirk before tossing the tank right at them, and they scatter like ants. The tank crashes and explodes in a fireball, killing several dozen of them.

The remaining survivors bolt, attempting to get space between them and her. She takes out a Uzi, and mows the rest of them down, taking several rounds to do so. She sighs, enemies eleminated. A rough hand grabs her throat, and she quickly responds by reaching over and breaking the man's arm. She then turns around and kicks him in the throat, killing him instantly.

Several of the helicopters open fire, and she ducks behind cover, while taking out her rocket launcher that had been strapped to her back. Jumping out, she fires several times, taking them out rather quickly.

"Ok Racheal, we're all clear!" She yells, switching to Sara's personality. As Racheal comes out of the alley, from behind Sara comes the slow walk of a man in heavy boots. Sara slowly turns to face the familiar footsteps of Gunther, wearing combat armor with several choice guns strapped to his waist.

"Sara. I want you to come with me. There's no reason to fight, nor for the senseless violence. I promise you, I mean no harm."

Sara growls. "I have NO intention of going with you! I know you work for the Director!"

Gunther's face hardens.

"That's too bad. I'm afraid you don't understand the fact there's not a lot of choice you have in this matter."

Sara snarls in anger. "You... you're just another thug, we never should have let you live!" She hurls a fist at his face, wanting to make him suffer.

"Such a sad child..." Gunther mutters. He slams his own fist into her stomach, making her cough up blood, and fall on her knees.

"You're going to find that I'm no pushover, Sara."
