We meet so many globetrotters, yet do they reach anywhere near the strature of the greatest traveller?

The greatest traveler
They say, we’ve been around the country,
They say, we’ve been around the world,
But are they the truly great travelers?
Only the mind can wander freely,
Without any shackles or boundaries.
It can reach the greatest heights and the greatest depths
Beyond the reach of others
But never out of sight.
It can travel into your heart and mine,
Discover our true selves and true worlds.
It can oust you from a perfect world,
Or push you into wonderland
It can even see through dreams and games.
That is why the mind is such a great traveler,
you see ,it has gone to places we can never behold.

I always thought that you write good, and this is an example.

It is said not to explain poems, not to make a firm railing. I will not. Only my mind can take me where your poem creates the pathway....

yes, this is very true indeed, what we dream , what we imagine is always followed by a far more vivid world than we travel daily, and where we are physically bounded by the duties of the society, only mind is the most free traveler of the entire world.

this was a thoughtful poem of yours.

Your poem hides a hidden meaning, that's why I like it the most. Doesn't everybody know like you , the mind can reach from coast to coast? It's into space at the twinkling of an eye, covering enormous distances, there right across the sky. And if you don't believe me sit right down there and sigh. Somebody's mind will hear you and the will wonder why.

I think you've done a wonderful job with this poem. To me , as a science fiction writer, the mind allows me to pay you a tribute. I salute you for bringing your poem to this page here at Booksie.
My burning question is have you published your poem. I have a place I know which might publish it on-line. Let me know if you are interested.
Best wishes
