I found out the arms I was in were Enrique's and the female voice belonged to his dark haired sister. His dark haired sister goes to my new school. She is called Ebony. I'm going to make friends with her there first chance I can get. They're not twins as she is two years younger then him, she's 17, he's 18 and I'm 17 so she's the same age as me. I also sit next to her in Physic's and Chemistry. They walked me home, I didn't speak to them. It felt rude to not speak to them and they're walking me home but if I opened my mouth I would start crying again and I wasn't sure if I would be able to stop this time. I had texted mama and said that I wasn't going to meet her at work but go straight home, I think I must have sounded upset because she agreed and hung up with a promise to get a Takeaway on her way home.

I couldn't think straight with Rue and Anya intruding my thoughts all the time like they did it on purpose. Why did they hate me? Rue and Anya I mean? "Are you sure you're okay Erika?" Enrique had his arm around me, it felt comforting and warm. I still kept quiet as I snuggled further down soaking up his warmth and his scent which was so nice. Even though it was May, he smelt like, like Christmas, tinsel and....happiness? I felt sleepy and worn out. His sister kept up in his long strides by trotting, she kept glancing at me with a worried expression on her face, I tried to give her a smile but it was no good. "Yeah you still look pretty shook up. Them bitches had no right to do that to you. I've hated Rue but Anya...she was always nice to me. Or was that to get you Enrique as well?"

"Eb, leave it okay? Now's not the time" Enrique's voice was quiet but sounded dangers'. I wonder what he's thinking? Does he hate them or is he annoyed that he had to rescue to me from Anya and Rue I really wanted to block them out and just let it be perfect with me and Enrique and even his sister because she was acting so nice. I took a deep breath as we were now outside my new house, we (mama and me) had decorated it and she said that I could have a sleepover with someone. I was beginning to doubt that due to the fact that everybody hated me. I could hardly invite Enrique round if he actually had a chance of liking me, as he was a boy and I wouldn't push to say he was my gay best friend because he looked all man. Especially, all man. I cringed a little, I am a woman and it is natural to have these types of thoughts.

I sighed. Maybe if I got close to Ebony she could come and have a sleepover at my place, who knows we might become best friends by the end of this week. "This is my house, thanks guys, for being there when I needed it. I guess I just attract bad luck" I sighed again. Why was my life just one huge big messy problem that left me confused and scared? The man who had his arm around me squeezed me gently and I snuggled closer as a result. Ebony opened my gate as they stood there watching me for a few seconds and then Ebony sat on the wall beside the garden. "No problem, hey why don't you hang out with me at school, your in some of my lessons. I think I sit next to you in two or three. It would be fun, I don't really have many friends that I can trust, just, well like Caden because she's a nice girl.

Not like them bitches. Anyway Enrique would love it if you sat with us, he likes you" Ebony offered. Her head was slightly tilted and in a nice way it reminded me of a dog, no a puppy. I sneaked a glance at Enrique who was scowling a little at his younger sister and for some reason that made me smile even more. Ebony pulled me into a hug, I instantly missed Enrique's warmth and scent but I hugged her back because that's what friends do. At least I hoped we were friends, things were so much simpler in France, in my home time. I think if I went home right now I would only miss Enrique and his sister. Maybe Jonathan and Caden too.

I hugged her then let go. I hugged Enrique again and tried to soak up as much scent as I could. Then I said goodbye and waved and walked up to the house, got my key's out and opened up. I closed the door and flopped onto the sofa feeling sorry for myself. Did we have any ice-cream in? I closed my eyes as I lay back on the sofa. The door opened and I flung myself off of the sofa and threw my back against the wall as I stared wide-eyed at my mama who was stood in the doorway frowning. She was carrying two plastic bags that smelt really nice. Probably something to do with the Takeaway she had bought me as a treat. I smiled at her then went to go sit back on the sofa.

"Hello my ma petite pâtisserie" Mama thinks it's really important to keep using our French regularly because we never want to lose our knowledge of it. Mama says that it's important to know the French language in case we go there if we can scrape enough money for a holiday. That's never going to happen. All the same it felt comforting to hear my home language. I smiled wider at her from the sofa as I turned on the T.V. "Hey mama"

"How was your day?"

"Okay I guess" I shrugged. What else could I possibly say?

"I was thinking Erika how about getting a puppy"

"Mama a puppy, why?"

"I thought it might help you and I settle in more? People make more friends when they have le chien"

"Okay, okay when are we going to pick one out?"

"After dinner" She smiled slyly at me. I knew then that she had planned it for a while.

Authors Note: THANKS FOR READING! So they're getting a doggie, she's got a possible new best friend and a maybe possible boyfriend? Or is Enrique ready for a relationship?
