"It's done, I can't go back." I cried. It's eight at night, and I have no where to go, I thought as I flipped my hood up. "Home" isn't even an option, and the cops always check the best friend's house and the hang out place. I really have no where to go. All I can do is cry more, and keep walking.. Walk where? This homeless shit is a piss off. Of course, if my dad wasn't an alcoholic, and my mom wasn't weak and permissive I wouldn't have to leave my only living relatives. I'm glad I'm an only child; I have nobody to miss. Although, I can't deny my puppy, Persephone. Thinking of home reminded me of my cell phone. My eyes flew down to my pocket where my phone was sitting. I checked it and found 3 angry texts from my drunk angry father; I deleted them. There were 5 pleading texts from my weak mother, and deleted those, too. I knew it was only a matter of time before they disconnected my phone. Oh, well. Leave the past in the past. It's easier said than done. I hate that I had to give up my life to have what I need; food, clothes and to pay for Persephone. That's when I figured out what I had to do, start new somewhere else... and when my true best friend called me. I knew I had to answer the phone..
"Ollie! Where are you?! Your mother called me, bawling her eyes out. She's going sick with worry!" She yelled.
"Away. I'm sorry, I love you. Take care of Persephone, get her out of that house. For me, please. Goodbye, Charlotte," I whimpered. I hung up and put the phone back into my pocket. It's a horrible goodbye for her.. But now isn't a good time for that. I had to go to the bank to empty my account. It didn't take long to get there. I took out $960. It's not much, but an okay start. My next destination: Wal-mart. I needed to buy black hair dye and a new wardrobe. My walk there was quick, too. Only this time, I was hit on by a bunch of drunk teenage boys, wandering around aimlessly. I tried hard not to punch them in the face. When I walked into Wal-mart, I headed straight to the hair dye. I grabbed a box of black hair dye and continued to find some clothes I wouldn't ever wear. It was hard, but I settled for baggy jeans, boy shorts, and t-shirts that make me feel claustrophobic. I went to pay and was a little devastated by the cost. I spent $246.76 to buy myself hair dye, clothes, makeup and skater shoes. It was a huge dent in what little I have, and it was too late to return anything. I was already on my way to the arena across town to dye my hair. I used a plug in to charge my iPod, and said good bye to my beautiful natural blonde hair. 7 people tried walking in, and 3 people knocked on the door. Damn impatient people.. Dumping my old family was easier than it should have been.
