Chapter 12: A Gentle Side of Him
I open my eyes. White lights greet my vision. Why am I lying on a bed here? Where am I ? I sit up. OUCH! My ankle hurts as I try to move.
“Be careful. The doctor says you need to rest. Do you need water?” Oh no! What is Troy doing next to me?
I nod my head. “Where am I?”
“Gleneagles Hospital. You were bitten by a jellyfish. The doctor said you may have lost your consciousness due to the pain or it may be an allergic reaction. They’re gonna keep you here till tomorrow for observation.” Troy hands me a cup of water and helps himself to the chair next to my bed.
So I’m bitten by some stupid jellyfish? Oh boy am I weak! SHIT! Who admitted me to Gleneagles?
“Where’s Eddie?” He’d better NOT reveal my identity!
“He just left. He had a rough day dealing with the media after admitting you here. Well… the news of your injury is spreading pretty fast but Eddie managed to keep the media away from you for now. He also informed your parents already. Your parents left not too long ago at around 10 p.m.”
“Uhmm… Did anyone say anything weird?” I feel my eyes widen with anticipation.
“Not that I know.” WHEW!!!
“Then why are you here?” Because you like me??? Hee… Oh god please let that be his answer.
A sudden uncomfortable look darkens Troy’s handsome face.
“Hmm… I wanted to make sure you are safe. And I need to apologize to you for failing to take care of you during the shoot.” That’s all? ARGH! Seriously, what am I to expect?!
“There’s no need for apology. You can’t control a jellyfish.” My voice is dripping with disappointment though my response seems to please him. He’s smiling.
“I must admit that I’m really impressed by you. I never thought that a beautiful lady like you can outdo me in terms of professionalism. You managed to bring out such a lovely smile and deliver a warm kiss while dealing with all the pain from the sting.”
I can feel my insides cracking up. HAHAHAHA!!! He actually thought I was professional! NO SILLY! It was your kiss that did the magic! I lost after all! OK! I am laughing at my own expense. I must be getting crazy.
I burst out in giggles. Troy’s face is slowing heating up into a shade of pink. He looks down - embarrassed. I never knew he’s this shy!
I stifle my laughter. “Sorry. I wasn’t laughing at you.” Troy’s gaze is still glued to the ground. Tick-tock, tick-tock… tick-tock… I can hear the clock. At least 10 seconds have passed. Why is he still silent?
SHIT! Is he offended?
“I AM SORRY!” I yell out! Troy looks up, startled. His surprise melts into laughter. Huh???
“Hahahaha….. You sound so much like someone I know!” WHO???
“Is that someone a girl or a guy?” I manage to sound casual though my inner voice is screaming to know who! His girlfriend???
Troy’s laughter dies down. “A very special girl. She may not be as pretty as you but she’s really cute.”
C-U-T-E… I feel the 4 alphabets turn in arrows and jab at my heart. So this not-as-pretty-as-me girl is my potential enemy! Well dearie, you are SO gonna lose to me!
“I see.” As long as this girl of yours is not as cute as Jane, she’s done for! Jane? Jane! SHIT! I still dunno if grandma is okay.
“Troy, can you lend me your handphone for an urgent call?”
“Sorry, I left it in the car since my battery’s flat. Can’t you call tomorrow? It’s pretty late already.”
“No! This is very important to me.” I push myself to get off the bed.
“Hey Faith! You’re not supposed to be moving about.” Worry lines starts creasing Troy’s forehead.
“Even if I become crippled, I’d still NEED to make this call!” I find strength in my desperation to know how grandma is doing.
WOAH! I am suddenly lifted into the air by Troy’s strong arms. He holds me close to his chest. My heart suddenly leaps into my mouth. My shoulder and legs are crumbling at his touch. I am dissolving in his warmth.
“Then it’ll be my responsibility to ensure that you’ll reach the phone safely.” Troy smiles at me.

hahaha i guess faith's her own enemy huh. and at first i thought she got bitten by a scorpion...hehe anywayz that's ok about jellyfish. ;)
anywayz too, though the thrilling factor here kinda decreases BUT the lovey-dovey factor here increases. ;) and kiki/faith finally admits to herself: "Because you like me??? Hee… Oh god please let that be his answer."

Yay!!! Great chap. She shouldn't confess. He should fall in love with both her rolls and hang out with her as faith and kiki; then feel bad coz like he likes them both and then come clean with her how he's been hanging with this other girl and then kiki/ faith should come clean. I hope u don't mind me mentioning this or that it ruins ur story. Coz your doing a great job :D Cant wait for the next chapter. Update soon please

WOW! Thanks! Now you've given me a possibility. I've been thinking alot about how this story should go. I do have an original idea in my mind but there seems to be alot of different plots for the story to proceed so i was pondering if I should stick with the original. No worries! You're not ruining anything. ^.^
