(Oliver’s Point of View):
I tried to focus on Harley’s peaceful face as I thought about what she told me but my eyesight had black spots in it as my anger flared. I don’t even know why it surprised me so much. Deep down, from the moment they put Hars in handcuffs, I knew she couldn’t have done that to Chloe even if she was found in the driver’s seat; it was basically illegal, we were only 15. Plus, Chloe was like Harley’s sister, she would never hurt her like that. But everything still fell into place for Miranda because Harley had been in trouble with the law before…
A fire blazed through my body as the truth hit me and hit me hard. I clenched my teeth together to control my anger before I did something I’d regret.
That freaking bitch. She took Chloe’s life all because of jealousy and Harley was put into the middle of it all and it ruined her life.
I knew jealously was a powerful emotion—I experienced it many times before—but I never thought for a minute that Miranda would go to such extremes because of it. It was honestly sickening. I seriously felt sick to my stomach. I never thought for a second that Miranda, the girl who didn’t want to kill a fly, could do something like this. I guess those feelings only applied to bugs and animals.
Harley stirred slightly besides me and I looked down to meet her beautiful green eyes. She blinked a few times before stretching her arms out and rubbing her eyes.
“How long have I been sleeping?” she asked, yawning.
“A few hours but you obviously needed it Hars, so it doesn’t matter,” I muttered.
She shrugged and then squinted at my face. I knew she probably saw the lines that were forming for thinking so much.
“You were thinking too hard,” she whispered trying to smooth them out.
It was my turn to shrug. “I really want to hit her but she’s a girl, so that’s kind of illegal.”
“I could always do it for you but then I’ll probably be put into jail,” she teased, smirking.
“Yeah probably,” I replied, laying my head back.
“Don’t think about it too hard,” she said.
“Yeah okay,” I said sarcastically.
“I am too Harley. You need to tell the police…” She was already shaking her head before I could finish.
“Why the hell not?” I asked.
“It’s the past Ollie,” she muttered. “Besides, I only wanted you to know,”
The snarky reply I was going to say disappeared from my mind and I blinked at her.
She looked up at me with those hypnotic eyes and that was it. I started to lean forward and she blinked a few times before doing the same things.
Our lips were just about to touch when her phone went off. We quickly pulled away and she blushed before reaching for it.
Harley sighed when she saw the number.
“Hey Lou, if this about me not being home for the past 24 hours, I’m sor—Wait what? Yeah, I’ll be there as soon as possible.” She said before hanging up.
“What’s wrong?” I asked.
“My mom and Luna were in a car accident,”
A/N: Okay, I know you guys hate me saying this and I am sorry but this chapter is a bit boring except for the almost kiss and the cliffy. I am not that good at doing things in other character's point of view but this chapter wasn't working in Harley's either. Also, I want to apologize for the short-ness. Hopefully the next one will be longer. I feel so bad because you guys wanted nearly two weeks and I basically gave your crap. So sorry. And I promise to update much, much sooner. Again, sorry. I just wanted to get something out there and put in a little twist. So sorry. I hope that you guys will still like this. I kind of do even though it's a little dull. Okay, I'm done ranting and author-noting guys. Don't forgot to comment, like if you think it's likeable, and fan! Oh and one more think, sorry if there is some spelling mistakes or any grammar mistakes. Okay, I'm seriously done. Bye lovelies!
