I took a deep breath as I stood there staring at myself in the mirror of the bathroom. Tanner had handed me my sweatpants and one of his t-shirts so I could change into to get ready. Doctor Fisher said that I was allowed to go home if I took it easy. I had to make sure that if anything happened to the babies to call him and he will get his best pediatrician for them. I nodded my head at him but that was about it. Now I was looking at myself as I brushed the knots out of my hair. Do I look like a Mother now? I don’t feel like it. But when I look at my babies, my children, I felt like a mom. I loved it. I couldn’t have it any other way. I put everything back in my bag before I walked out. Tanner was getting help from a nurse on how to hook the twins into their car seat so they were safe. He looked up at me and smiled as he finished. “Thank you.” He smiled at her before he walked over to me. “You feeling a little better now?” He asked wrapping his arms around me so my head was between his folded arms.
