It’s been a week since Tanner got home. He had talked to his C.O. about what I said. He said that he had to talk to the Base Commander. He got the meeting planed and went to it, ready or the worst. They called me in to talk with them so I knew what was happening. He was a nice man; he told me how things could go if we moved cross country. How the housing would be different, and how we might not even get a house. But since we had the twins, and they were still babies, and with Bailey being sick we could be okay on that front because we would have top priority. He told Tanner he could switch over there and live on base since we were getting married and there were many spots he could work. But one caught his eye, I could tell. Camp Pendleton was the Parris Island of the rest of the country. Tanner’s C.O. said since his rank was high enough he could apply to become a Drill Instructor. Tanner jumped at that one saying he could stay home more and be with Bailey more. He had such a smile on his face it surprised me. It even surprised his Commander because he said he would put in a good word when he sent in his application. They smiled and saluted each other before leaving. I smiled at him as he winked at me. Okay so he knew my Grandpa, but Tanner didn’t need to know that. It wasn’t like he was giving away a higher spot he shouldn’t have, he was just helping. He promised to get Tanner an interview, and he did. Tanner flew out to California a couple of days ago. Well he must have done well because he got orders to be at Camp Pendleton in one week. Tanner was so happy when he got it that he spun me around and around before kissing Bailey all over her face making her giggle before she fell back asleep. She has been sleeping a lot since her body has been getting the chemotherapy. Now Hunter came home a few days ago and just in time because Emmy went into labor a few hours later and there little boy came into the world. Lucas Thomas Banks was a happy healthy 19 inch 8 pounds 4 oz baby boy. Asher loved to give him little kisses and walk into his room and stroke his hair when he cried for his mommy. I found it so cute.
