Chapter Fifteen

I felt the bed move waking me from my medicated bliss. I opened my eyes to see a blurry Finn looking at me. “Did I wake you up?” He asked as I rubbed my eyes to clear the blurriness that was still there. I gave him a humming sound as I curled my arms around the pillow in my arms. “I’m sorry.” He said running his hand gently through my hair. “How are you feeling?”

“Better now.” I turned my head to look at him. “You’re all sweaty.” I smiled at him. He looked down at his shirtless chest. Oh his chest. It is amazing. The tattoos that graced his skin ran perfectly on the muscles making him look even hotter without his shirt on then with. He barely had any plain skin left. Just seeing him without a shirt made me my stomach quiver.

“I just got back from a run.” I blinked being brought back from my hot minded state. He smiled at me rubbing the sweat away.

“So you get in bed? Nice.” I giggled at him. He tried to rub his hand on me. “EW no!” I threw the pillow in my arms at him. “That’s nasty.”

“Come on, Ana. I know you want this.” He wiggled his eye brow at me. I shook my head getting out of bed.

“Go get in the shower, Smelly.” I stuck my tongue out at him. He walked up behind me and wrapped his arms around my waist. I turned to look at him as he kissed my shoulder. “Are you going to take me into the shower with you?” I whispered running my fingers over his arms.

“I would love that but not yet.” He kissed my cheek. “We haven’t got there yet.” He let go of me as my phone started to ring on the nightstand. “Answer that, I’m going to get in the shower.” He gave me a peck on the lips before walking out. I picked up my phone.

“Hello?” I said shaking my head to clear my thoughts.

“Hey, Baby girl. How’d it go?” Zander’s voice said into the phone yawning.

“It went good. It went better than I expected.” I sat back down on the bed. “He took it better than I expected. He didn’t freak out on me. He understood me, he listened.” I sighed lying back on the bed. “It was nice.”

“I told you, Baby doll. Not everyone in the world is out to get you. You want to go out for breakfast?” I looked at Finn as he walked into the room, the beads of water rolling down that eye catching chest.

“Let me ask.” I pulled the phone away from my ear. “Z invited me to breakfast. You want to come?” Finn blinked at me before lifting his hand to rub the water out of his hair.

“Sure, let me get dressed.” He cleared his throat moving to his dresser.

“If you don’t want to go, you don’t have to.” He shook his head and smiled at me.

“No, I just thought it’d be me and you today.” I pouted at him.

“I’ll tell him no.” I put the phone to my ear.

“No, it’s fine.” He came over and kissed my head. “He’s here to see you and I need to not be selfish. I’m getting dressed.” I giggled as he shook his head making the drops of water attack me.

“Sure, you want us to come pick you up?” I could hear rustling in the background.

“I’ll meet you there. I have some more business to handle after but then I’m coming over to make you dinner.” I smiled.

“I was going to be moving Matty and I back to ours today anyway so good on me. I don’t have to cook.” He chuckled at me. I looked at Finn as he dropped his towel to pull on some boxers. My breath hitched in my throat.

“Where do you want to meet?” I swallowed as my mouth was dry as I stared at Finn’s back and legs as he pulled on his boxers. I blinked trying to clear the dirty thoughts out of my head. “Ana?” Zander called amused at me. Finn pulled on his boxers then his shorts.

“What?” I said snapping out of my daze. Zander laughed.

“Where do you want to go?” I looked at Finn for guidance.

“I know a place.” He smiled at me.

“Finn knows a place; I’ll text you directions from your hotel.”

“Sounds good, I’ll see you soon.” He mumbled to someone next to him.

“Bye.” I hung up and looked at Finn. He was smirking at me. “What?” I asked putting my phone down.

“I heard you. You were watching me.” I shook my head.

“No I wasn’t.” He put his knees on the bed leaning over me gently pressing his lips to mine.

“I believe you were.” I wrapped my arms around his neck holding him to me. He smiled at me when he pulled back to breath.  “Come on, you have to get dressed.” He tugged on my loose shirt and kissed my exposed shoulder. “Or we’ll be late.” I pressed my lips to his again moving my knee against his thigh.

“I don’t mind being late.” He chuckled against my lips.

“Not yet. Come on get dressed.” I pouted at him as he got off the bed, and me.

“Meany butt. I was getting into that one.” I folded my arms sitting up. He winked at me as he pulled a shirt out of his dresser.

“Soon, Ana, soon. Then it’ll be right.” I scowled at him as I sat up.

“Meanypants.” I walked to my bag and pulled out a shirt and shorts. I got dressed quickly braiding a chunk of my hair putting a little bow on top.

“You ready?” I looked at him as he got off the bed.

“Yeah, let’s get going Meany butt.” I hip checked him walking out of the room.

“I’m not a Meany butt, Baby.” He wrapped his arms around my waist. I squealed as he walked us into the living room.

“Where are you two going?” Mr. Andrews asked smiling at us from his newspaper.

“We’re going out for breakfast.” I smiled at him smacking Finn making him put me down. “Have you spoken with AJ?” AJ went to go visit her grandparents last week and still hasn’t come back.

“I just ended a call with her. She’ll be here Sunday so she can go to the first day of school.” I nodded. I don’t even know why she left. I just got a text saying she was going and she’ll call me soon. I’ve been so busy with everything I didn’t get to call.

“That’s good. Only a couple more days.” He nodded.

“I just wish she was here now.” I nodded back at him.

“Soon though.” We said our goodbyes as we went outside to get in Finn’s truck.

“Do you know why she went?” I asked him as I got into the truck.

“Everything got too much for her. She just needed a break.” I looked down pulling at my shorts.

“Is it my fault?” I whispered to him as he pulled out of the driveway.

“Ana, of course not. It was all with Tyler. She just needed a break from all of that. Not you.” I picked up my phone as it chimed.

“Zander is at the diner.” I said as I texted Z back to get a table.

“We’re almost there.” He smiled as we pulled up to the gate. “You’re going back to yours tonight.” He said clearing his throat. I nodded.

“I have to. I can’t stay at yours forever.” He looked at me from the corner of his eyes.

“Yes you can. My parents don’t mind. They love having Matty around.”

“I know but I mind. I got to take care of him. She won’t be bad now that Danny’s gone. She’ll be her normal self. And Matty needs his room and his house. He needs normal.” Finn sighed.

“I don’t want you to go.” I took his hand in mine intertwining our fingers.

“I don’t want to either. But it’s for the best.” He pulled into the diner. He pulled into a spot.

“Can I still come over? I don’t trust her.” I squeezed his hand before getting out of the truck.

“Of course you can.” I waited for him as he got out and we made our way into the diner. I spotted Zander in a booth typing away on his phone. “Is that all you ever do?” I asked walking over to him. He looked up at me and smiled.

“I have to deal with business, Ana. That is usually on the internet.” I kissed his head.

“Sure, sure.” Finn stood behind me awkwardly. “Z, this is Finn. Finn, Z.” They shook hands as we sat down in the booth.

“Nice to meet you.” Finn said forcing a smile. Zander took a sip of his water instead of answering making me stomp my foot on his leg. He coughed on his water.

“The pleasure is all mine.” He said glaring at me.

“How long are you going to be in town for?” I asked Zander smiling as someone put a water in front of me.

“A couple more days. Then I have to go back.” I nodded. “But I’m coming over for dinner tonight. I want to meet that new brother of yours.” I smiled.

“Matty will love that.” I sat there as Finn and Zander stared at each other. “Will you two stop?” I grumbled at them. “I’m going to the bathroom. When I get back you have better have solved this problem between you two!” I snapped getting up and walking towards the bathroom. They better solve their problem with each other or I will.
